My Outsides Look Cool

Ikat Pencil Skirt- Forever 21

Hello, readers!! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week thus far.  As promised, today's post is all about this adorable ikat print pencil skirt that I bought at Forever 21 yesterday for a mere $17.80.  I have designed three different outfits for all different events and occasions in life.  I hope you enjoy!

NOTE: Because I am rather petite, all of these outfits include heels.  Feel free to substitute any pair of flats into any of these looks!

Sexy and Free:

Sexy and Free

For a look that would be perfect for a date, dinner with friends, or even a summer night out on the town, pair this skirt with a gorgeous silky tank.  I love the geometric cutouts in the straps of this one, as it adds a unique interest to the look.  The light pink color picks up on the mauve print in the skirt and softens the whole look.  Add some edge with these black patent leather slingbacks that match the skirt's skinny belt.  Pile on oodles of tiny rings as well as this gorgeous turquoise cocktail ring.  Add this heart pendant necklace which, incidentally, doubles as a unique watch.  Top it all of by wearing your hair in this fantastic hair-bow bun, a unique spin on the ever-trendy top knot.

Easy, Breezy, Beautiful:

For a more daytime appropriate look, try pairing the skirt with this flowing, yellow, cropped blouse.  Because the skirt is so high-waisted though, the hem of the shirt can be comfortably tucked in.  This yellow color contrasts wonderfully with the navy in the skirt, and it brightens up the ensemble, making it summer perfect.  Add some floral accents with more soft and summery colors, such as the mint wrap bracelet and lavender cocktail ring.  The gold flowery studs are simple and chic, as is this peace sign ring.  These peep-toe heels are a fun spin to the nude heels trend as they are patterned with a beautiful sheer lace.  Finish off the carefree look by wearing your hair in one of my personal favorite styles, this side french fishtail braid.

Professional Chic:

This look is a glamorously fun take on professional wear.  Start off by tucking a plain blue button down blouse into the skirt to create a sort of monochromatic color scheme.  Add these adorable navy pumps from Modcloth to continue the blue theme.  For a little sparkle, these fun accessories from the LC by Lauren Conrad Collection for Kohls are classy and chic, combined with a bit of girly quirk.  The bow earrings are cute but unobtrusive, while the heart necklace is a classic, timeless accessory that is always appropriate.  These cat-eye sunnies are perfect for sheilding your eyes from the hot sun during your summer lunch break, as well as making you feel as glamorous as your favorite celebrities.  Clip your tresses into this half-up hairstyle with this beautiful jeweled hair bow clip.

What do you think of these styles?  How would you wear this skirt?  Let me know!

Love, Leaza
